Our client was enlarging their Urology practice and looking to expand into the adjoining suite. Our team needed to provide a new connection between the current suites while maintaining workflows and optimal adjacencies. The practice expanded from five exam rooms and one procedure room to seven exam rooms and five procedure rooms. The scope also included providing expanded soiled and specimen collection facilities, enclosed and secure medication room, more admin space, a dedicated vital area, more offices for staff, enlarged accessible toilet facilities, and an enlarged break room. The design needed to take specific consideration of the construction phasing, to keep impacts on clients to a minimum, while allowing staff equivalent support spaces.
